PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 24, 2009) – Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class Andrew Edgett stands watch on the platform camera overlooking the flight deck of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The platform camera is part of the Integrated Launch and Recovery Television System (ILARTS), which is used to broadcast and record footage of the flight deck 24 hours a day for archival and surveillance purposes. Nimitz and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11 are conducting Tailored Ship’s Training Availability (TSTA) off the coast of Southern California.
